Nesta segunda-feira (12) aconteceu a 74° edição do Emmy Awards 2022, o “Oscar” do mundo das séries, minisséries e telefilmes. A premiação é organizada anualmente pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas dos Estados Unidos e tem transmissão exclusiva do TNT Brasil.

O evento retornou ao seu formato tradicional, diretamente de Los Angeles, Califórnia. Nos anos anteriores, a premiação sofreu algumas alterações por conta da pandemia da Covid-19 ocorrendo integralmente online no ano de 2020 e de forma híbrida em 2021. Apresentado por Kenan Thompson, o Emmy entregou estatuetas às maiores produções lançadas entre 1° de junho de 2021 à 31 de maio de 2022.

A grande surpresa do Emmy Awards 2022 foi a vitória do ator Lee Jung-jae, como melhor ator em série de drama, por Round 6. Além disso, a série recebeu também a estatueta de melhor direção em drama. Essa foi a primeira premiação de uma série de língua estrangeira na premiação. A 74° edição do Emmy teve como os principais vencedores da noite as séries Succession, como melhor drama, e The White Lotus, como melhor minissérie. Ambas eram as apostas da noite. Por fim, a noite foi marcada pela segunda estatueta de Zendaya (26), pelo seu papel de Rue, em Euphoria (HBO Max). Importante comentar que, mesmo com uma grande variedades de séries premiadas, a premiação não fugiu totalmente das apostas, porém contou com boas surpresas.
